The Problem

Martin Hickman, Managing Director of Sandland Packaging found OrderlineBOX through the Sheet Plant Association who both Onesys and Sandland Packaging are a part of. They were using Sage 50 and lots of manual processes to carry out their operations and as a result were trying to make Sage 50 perform functions that it wasn’t designed to do.

‘We needed a system that would leave no room for human error. Previously to purchasing OrderlineBOX we had many different manual processes being carried out feeding into our Sage 50 system. We were relying on these disjointed processes to manage our operations and were in desperate need of one integrated solution to streamline our business’ Martin says.

The Solution

Other systems as well as bespoke development were considered before Sandland Packaging selected  OrderlineBOX. The system was chosen due to the knowledge and customer care from Laurie and Andy during the sales process, the functionality within OrderlineBOX and its integration with the existing Sage 50 accounts package.

Martin comments ‘we were impressed with how Laurie demonstrated how OrderlineBOX could completely change the way we do business for the better. Having a system that manages the process from quotation through to invoice will streamline our operations and give us full visibility of the business end to end. The option to add modules such as Customer Portal, CRM and e-commerce further down the line was attractive to us. We didn’t want to overwhelm our team with too much change at once so the ability to make incremental changes with additional functionality was a huge benefit to us.’

‘The fact that OrderlineBOX and Sage 50 run in the Cloud is an added bonus. We can access our data anytime, anywhere. It also means we don’t have to worry about additional hardware, maintenance and business continuity responsibilities.’

‘The rollout of the system was pretty painless. During the implementation we needed a couple of tweaks doing to make the system work better for us and these changes were delivered very quickly.

 
 The Outcome

OrderlineBOX has changed the way Sandland Packaging do business. Martin says ‘Choosing and beginning to use OrderlineBOX has ensured that we can move away from the manual processes of old and move over to a fully integrated system to manage our business. We have seen no resistance to change from our team and the user adoption for the system is far better than we expected. We reviewed other systems alongside OrderlineBOX and the knowledge and customer care that Laurie and Andy provide along with the functionality of the system meant it was a clear winner’.

OrderlineBOX was designed with end users in mind and ensuring the user had an intuitive journey from quotation through to invoice was a priority. Sandland Packaging plan on rolling out the Customer Portal and E-commerce modules in the near future to benefit from the full OrderlineBOX solution.
